NYC Yarn Crawl

I know this is not the best time for this, but for the future...Maven from Ravelry is going to start doing yarn crawls to NYC. Here's the link. I asked her about the commute and getting from place to place 'cause I know walking many blocks would be an issue.

Can't make meeting.

I'm so sorry that we will not be able to make this Fridays meeting but we hope to make the next.
We have been working hard on Raquel's house and she hopes to move next weekend if all goes well.

New Meeting

Karen's great idea went very well! We had a great time gifting(but missed Jackie) and all the scarves were just beautiful. Next time we can draw names first then make scarves with the person in mind.

I'm sorry I haven't posted the new meeting yet.
We will meet again on Feb. 20th.
We missed Jackie who was unable to make the meeting because of a bad tooth.
Hope you are doing better Jackie.

Scarf

I love my scarf! I am wearing it around the house... Thanks Pat!!!!!

Sale Sunday.

A friend emailed this yesterday. The sale is tomorrow. Yarn Diva gives a discount to Ravelry people.

Creative Knitworks (opens at 7:00am until
5:00pm) is on Broadway in Hillsdale and Yarn Diva (opens 10:00am until 6:00pm) is 428 Hillsdale Avenue. I am not 100% sure the time breakdown, but Creative is running there sale starting at 7:00am with a discount kickoff of 25%, then as the hours go by, the discount is less, but I can’t remember how it worked. At Diva she is running 20% all day even on sale yarn. It’s a great way to stock up on yarn.

Group Meeting

We will meet tomorrow same time same place.
Bring your scarves and lots of catch up stories.

We will meet Friday January 6th and 16th same time same place.
Make which ever meeting you can.
Let's try to make a general meet for Friday January 30th. Let me know if that is ok for you.
We can do the Scarf Gifting then if we can all make it.

Great meeting!

Karen was missed!!!
We had a nice night of food, talk and knitting/crochet.
It was so special to have Annette with us.
Jackie's new baby cardi is too cute and something crazy was going on, Maria was crocheting and Lynn was knitting!!! The lady that came around last time was back.
What crazy thing will happen next?
Will Pat be making the teddy bear?
Will that lady that is around the group be around next year?
Stay tune to find the answers to these and other important questions.
We will meet next at Pat's house on January 2 to answer these and make up some new questions.

Meeting Night!

Everyone seems to be running around this week. We will have to cancel the Fri. meeting. Next meeting will be Fri. Dec. 5th..
Karen's Scarf Gift project is on so let's all start working on those scarves.

Time Off is So Great!!!!!

Hope all are having a great time off.
The field trip to Hoboken was great thanks to Jackie. It is nice going to new places.
Lynn, Marie and Steph were greatly missed and we will have to go to Patricia's Yarns again.

Chalk Dust Knitters Meeting Withdrawal

We will not meet Fri.
Can't wait to meet on Nov.6th!!!! The Frozen Monkey sounds great.

Our Field Trip

Hello ladies... I don't think we're meeting this Friday (Halloween)... right? But we ARE meeting on November 6th. Patricia's opens at 12 noon and I've told her about our group. I'm trying to plan something nice... Afterwards - how about The Frozen Monkey.... lots of room and good food.... and we can sit and knit without a problem... I'll have more details about the 6th tomorrow (seeing Patricia)... Hope all is well!
